What’s going on? How can 2 of the Review’s favourite acts be in the bottom 2? The Review blames the judges. They keep telling the public that the weakest ‘shouldn’t be in the bottom 2’, so in that case who should? Please do your job and judge fairly.
The review was right about one thing though [...]
Week 3 – Results Show Shocker!
Week 3 – Review Recommendation
Bottom 2 … Rachel and Stacey
Rachel to go
Week 3 – Lucie Jones Review – 1st Place
Stole the show. Moody, classy, and meant every word of the song. What big band week is all about. Shame on Simon for not acknowledging she hit the big notes, after saying she couldn’t do it in previous weeks.
Week 3 – Danyl Johnson Review – 2nd Place
The only one who looks like he lives for singing and can’t wait to get up there. Not bothered about pleasing judges or the public, just wants to perform. Perfect vocal and has the confidence to go for the big notes again and again. Quite cute too!
Week 3 – Miss Frank Review – 3rd Place
Loved it. Looked great, sang great. So much potential, can’t wait to see what they come up with next. Bring it on!
Week 3 – Jamie Archer Review – 4th Place
A review favourite, but is going to suffer and the review lays the blame with ‘the man at the end of the panel’. It wasn’t cheating, but it wasn’t fair play either. Having a theme each week shows the versatility of the acts, and the review suspects Jamie might have sang U2 quite regularly in [...]
Week 3 – Olly Murs Review – 5th Place
A relaxed performance, Olly was always going to suit big band week. BUT poor Olly, he’s a good singer, a great dancer, has bags of personality and is a natural performer but in this strong field he just doesn’t shine.
Week 3 – Joe McElderry Review – 6th Place
Don’t see what all the fuss is about. Looked like Jim Carey in the film the Mask. Judges keep saying he is a nice guy because the performance was awful. Sang samba like a ballad…. As you do!
Week 3 – Stacey Solomon Review – 7th Place
Occasional greatness, but slow and laborious. Not enough big moments in the song – which she has the talent to reach. Looked sensational though!
Week 3 – Rachel Adedeji Review – 8th Place
Ok so she changed her image and sang well, but would you really buy her record. Admire her guts for fighting rather than crying for a change, but overall nothing special. And the interview OMG OTT.
Week 3 – Lloyd Daniels Review – 9th Place
Didn’t really look like he knew what a big band was. Nice tone, but no performance. Most of the time looked like he was reading an autocue. Louis was right though. Get thou to a boy band asap. Looked good on the sum up, but boring to watch for the whole song. Good looks should [...]
Week 3 – Off The Chart – The Twins
So self-absorbed, completely oblivious to the fact they were surrounded by half naked women! The review is not feeling guilty about this pleasure!
Week 3 – Judge Of The Week – Louis Walsh
Who knew he would be missed so much. Order is restored. Thought he was reading the reviews mind a few times, e.g. Jamie did sing like karaoke!
Week 3 – The Judges – Dannii Minogue
As always gave well thought out constructive criticisms of the acts.
Week 3 – The Judges – Simon Cowell
The review’s favourite judge wasn’t on form this week. To much bias towards his own acts again, although always right to stick up for Daniel who doesn’t get the credit he deserves.
Week 3 – The Judges – Cheryl Cole
Never comments on the singing. Is this because she doesn’t know much about it? Always just the performance. Copied Dannii several times. Needs to be more ‘authentic’!
Week 3 – Simon’s Simile
(definition: a figure of speech that draws a comparison between two different things, especially a phrase containing the word ‘like’ or ‘as’, e.g. ‘as white as a sheet’)
Simon gave us two gems this week … can you guess which contestants he was talking about????
Whose backflip was ‘like eating a sandwich while swimming’
Whose performance had ‘as [...]
Week 3 (Big Band Night) – Word Of The Week
‘Authentic’ is the Word Of The Week!
All the judges were at it, ‘authentic this’ and ‘authentic that’. Must have a new script writer. O well, makes a change from ‘you made it your own’, ‘you nailed it’ and ‘you owned that stage’.
Week 3 – Celebrity Masterclass – Review Of Michael Buble’s Appearance
Michael was a top tipster for the contestants. Made them all feel good about themselves. Looked interested and was helpful. A great confidence booster.
